How to Sign Your Title in Texas (TX)

Where to Sign

Be sure to write clearly and sign/print your name exactly as spelled on the front of your title. Avoid white-out, scribbles, and strike-throughs.

  1. Front of the title top half - sign name(s) on the line where it reads "Signature of Owner or Agent."
  2. Back of the title top half - sign name(s) on the line where it reads "Signature of Seller/Agent."
  3. Back of the title right next to where you signed name(s) - print name(s) on the line where it reads "Printed Name (Same as Signature)."
  4. Back of the title at the top - print WHEELZY where it reads "Name of Purchaser."

Multiple Owners

All owners listed on the front of title must sign the title.

Lien or Bank Name on Title

If your Texas title shows a lien or a bank name printed on the front, then your title will need to be signed off by the lien holder or have a separate lien release letter.
